Peter Holman, Psalmody and the Parley of Instruments Vital Spark of Heavenly Flame 1998

I was asked to be an extra singer on numbers 9 and 14 of this recording for Hyperion Records in 1998. Peter Holman was famous for recording this type of music, his friend and Tenor Patrick McCarthy was my teacher and conductor at the time, (famous for stepping in when a singer was sick at the Royal Albert Hall during a performance of Carmina Burana). He was the conductor of Colchester Bach Choir. His people from Dovercourt Choral Society and CBC were asked to step in and form a congregational choir on numbers 9 and 14 to back up Holman’s choir Psalmody that featured the Countertenor Tim Kenworthy-Brown. Timothy Roberts is the well appointed organist. I do not own the rights to this music though I am a performer on these 2 numbers both of which were recorded at St Mary’s Church Stoke By Nayland, Suffolk in 1998; They are rare arrangements of Handel by British Church Composers.
