My Manifesto for EU education. It’s loosely based on my life because I’ve had a great fulfilling and varied life with many facets.
Right Wing: Break the monopoly of the recruitment industry by removing it from society almost entirely.
Left Wing: Introduce a Thatcherite labour market (apprenticeship phase) from 18-23 in which people are only allowed to do low level jobs but earn money doing their time as a worker

Yes can try out several different jobs involving themselves in a number of projects. For example I started off sorting the Christmas Mail, then did data entry and filled the shelves in boots the Chemist, worked on a print line, and then in telesales in an insurance company. It never did me any harm and I feel it’s great for public schoolboys especially to be responsible to a working class line manager for once in their lives. They have to apply for placements but they can gain as many transferrable skills in those years as possible and should be encouraged to fill there time with several part time jobs or fixed term full time placements. This would also help sort out the wheat from the chaff for the elite jobs. People are applying for the elite jobs who don’t even want them! One of my friends from boots used to work on the development of plasma screen TVs and he couldn’t stand the electronic design world and wanted to fill shelves in a store. Try being working class first if it ain’t broke don’t gamble and don’t fix it. That’s the job for you. That phase in my life never did me any harm. What I learned form telesales help me market my business in Germany.

Left Wing: Education phase

For those who are dissatisfied with the lack of sufficient content in their work ages 23-30 should be a Bildungsphase as they say in Germany. Yes I believe in getting some jobs and transferable skills on the board before you go to university. Not just taking 1 year off but several but doing their time mucking in on the Thatcherite labour market. they can have a conventional year off in South America if they want as well. Then when they are prepared and relaxed start the University or training phase. There should be several paths to success not just the BA degree. Certificates and Diplomas you do as on the job qualifications should count especially towards a top up degree. Financial options should be more realistic for students. 2000 is the maximum amount they should be paying like they do in Holland and in Munich. Being a university professor is a VOCATION and not a right to a salary worthy of a Bugatti Veron necessarily. It’s one of the best jobs in the world but it shouldn’t mean competing with Roman Abramovic in terms of material wealth. I would introduce the German system of Numerous Clausus the absolute right to study if you pass all your A levels but you might have to sacrifice doing a popular subject like English if you don’t get the grades. You can’t do the subject you want necessarily but if you get three Es be creative. Take Dutch or Norwegian and be a professor in Arnhem or Trondheim because no-one else does it! The German system has so much more flexibility. The slate is wiped clean at university. Your former grades are allowed to count but you should be given no extra credit for getting good results all the way through life because there is more to life than just academic exercises. Credit should be given to being creative in the Thatcherite labour phase of your life as well. People should be encouraged to form fraternal organizations which can assist with pastoral care and encourage tolerance, discipline and lifelong friendship and a social framework as well as management experience and training. People should not be slated for doing Open degrees either. the open degree should not be a second class degree it should be king. I can’t stand one horse jockeyism of the 2:1 single hons bachelors degree culture. It’s arcane and pointless. Today’s world is so diverse you just don’t need it people need to be free to study what they want when they want within reason at all levels and do a specialist masters or to on top.

Right wing: Margeting Phase (New) 28-30

Entrepreneurial course based on the Apprentice to get entrepreneurial thinking going on a practical level.

3 free conference passes to worldwide conferences of you choosing in your subject including accommodation and food as a gift to the nation and opportunity for marketing oneself and making one’s own contacts. No more fascist recruitment agents acting as middle men but the opportunity to set out your stall yourself. You may continue this phase longer if you have money or can finance it for a while longer re-entering the Thatcherite labour market for a while and using skills you had earlier on, whilst building a career.

Expand worldwide face to face conferencing networks so that everyone has a chance to network with people they feel they personally want to do business with. You are allowed to sell you skills on the market in this way without let or hinderance for the rest of your life and professional typecasting should be banned if they have shown real flair in teaching themselves or working at something as an amateur not heir own initiate. E.g. Art, Music, or building an invention. Very often academic people don’t have those skills so much.

Left wing: Varied Working life making money form business and pleasure.

I think we could spend 20 hrs a week being an executive and then make some more money as therapy picking fruit. Why is it that executives are so stressed to the point of being inhuman because they aren’t allowed any physical work for money at all?

Why is there such a lack of opportunity through typecasting of one’s career. If you are in a low level job everyone should be allowed to progress as and when they wish as much as they wish.

Principle of Quality of Experience

EQUALITY OF EXPERIENCE IS KEY NOT NECESSARILY EQUALITY OF WEALTH. IT IS ONLY RIGHT THAT SOME PEOPLE LIKE AND DESERVE MORE MONEY THAN OTHERS IN SOME CASES AS A COMMUNIST I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT, BUT MY MODEL IS INSPIRED BY THE ROOTS OF COMMUNISM OF ENGELS WANTING TO FISH AND HUNT AS AN EXPERIENCE NOT JUST FOR MONEY. IF WE ALL HAVE PHASES WHEN WE ARE RICH AND NOT SO RICH THERE IS NO NEED TO BE SO JEALOUS OF BEING ELITE OR NOT. EVERYONE GETS A LOVELY 20 EURO MEAL OUT AT THE CONFERENCE PHASE FOR EXAMPLE. THERE SHOULD BE SUFFICIENT OPPORTUNITY FOR EXPERIENCES SUCH AS HOT AIR BALLOONING, SKYDIVING, TRAVELLING AND RIDING IN A HELICOPTER AND FLYING A PLANE EVEN IF WE DON’T OWN ONE.

The opportunity for equality of experience and a rich fulfilling life should not be restricted exclusively to people with degrees. The principle of loving one another as I have loved you, of experiencing each others lives to enrich and fulfill them should be paramount and not strict adherence to academic dogma.
